“What makes Ratatouille such a hilarious and heartfelt wonder is the way Bird contrives to let it sneak up on you. And get a load of that score from Michael Giacchino, a perfect compliment to a delicious meal.”

This movie isn’t just a kids’ movie. It appeals to me for it’s French setting, its look into a fine restaurant kitchen, and what is being said to be a great story. I haven’t seen an animated film in the theater since Toy Story, but after hearing over and over that Ratatouille is more than just kid fluff, and that it stays true to both fine cooking and good storytelling, I have found myself gearing up to see this movie for over a week now!

Here’s to having the determination of a rat!

  1. Did you get out to see this? Went the weekend before last and LOVED it!

I’ve never understood why so many folks automatically assume animated movies are for kids. Other than the lesson about how you shouldn’t steal, I definitely thought the humor in Ratatouille was more adult-centric.

Two thumbs up…get thee to a theater!

  2. I saw it! Sorry…forgot to post about that!

I enjoyed it. I do think I saw too many awesome reviews though.

I also had to pee like a racehorse for half the movie…that was VERY distracting!!! Note to self: Empty the bladder PRE-movie!!!
